Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom…

I was looking for a little spiritual wisdom this morning. Also for some calm and peace of mind. My mom is going in to see her Oncologist about the first procedure help treat her cancer. This is when I remembered a study of Ephesians 1 in my Sunday school class.

Sometimes in a time of anxiety or worry, we need to just remind ourselves that God is there and in control of every situation. For me, this is a comfort and something I want to always thank Him for. I mostly start my prayers off with “thank you for…”. Perhaps its a crutch, but I haven’t felt that compelled to break from the tradition.

Ephesians 1:15-16 says “15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:”

If Paul could always find a way to give thanks to God in all things, I should too.

My prayer for this morning:

“Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Doctor Mohindra to help my mom. Thank you for always being there in the tough times. Please be with her, the doctor and his staff while they talk about the situation and do the first procedures. Thank you for the gift of healing. Amen.”

Here’s a good song to go with this.

Sometimes it is difficult to find praise and thanks in what might seem a dark hour. You have to keep your focus on God and remember “He’s got this.”
